Pete earned his CAA certification from the NIAAA in 2004. From 2006-2013 he served Section V of NYS, as the Girls Lacrosse Chairperson and State committee rep. Pete began his involvement with Chapter 5 of the NYSAAA in 2004, serving as secretary of the organization. In 2007 he became the Chapter 5 rep to the NYSAAA Executive committee. In 2010-11 he served as the NYSAAA Conference Planner, and in 2014, served as President of the NYSAAA. In 2011 Pete became the first person in Chapter 5 to earn the CMAA certification from the NIAAA. Pete also became a member of the NIAAA Certifications Committee in 2011. He began reading CAA applications in 2013, and in 2015 began reading and approving CMAA projects for the NIAAA. He’s attended all 13 NIAAA Section 1 Summer Institutes in Cape Cod, and for the past 3 years has been the Co-Coordinator for the Summer Institute. Presently Pete serves as the NYSAAA Professional Development Academy Coordinator, and is serving as President for Section V of the NYSPHSAA. He’s a Lifetime Member of the NIAAA, has taken over 30 NIAAA LTC courses and attended 8 National conferences.
